About LimanLegal

LimanLegal Law Firm (LimanLegal Hukuk Bürosu) is an Istanbul-based firm providing analytical, strategic and solution-oriented legal advice. Our core practice areas are customs law and cybercrime law; we also advise on commercial and foreign trade law, company law and lease law, and we act for foreign clients in property, citizenship, residence, inheritance and criminal matters in Turkey.

We aim to identify our clients' legal risks before they turn into disputes, and to represent them effectively when a dispute cannot be avoided. We manage every matter with transparency: you know at each stage what is being done, why, and what to expect.

Practice areas

Customs and foreign trade law. Administrative penalties, additional duty assessments, tariff classification (GTİP) disputes, origin and valuation issues, settlement and tax-court proceedings, smuggling allegations, and foreign-trade risk analysis.

Cybercrime and digital evidence. Investigations and trials involving online fraud, misuse of bank and credit cards, unauthorised access to systems and accounts, illegal betting, and crypto-assets — with particular attention to electronic evidence and the procedural safeguards that protect suspects and victims alike.

Commercial and company law. Company formation for Turkish and foreign shareholders, shareholder and contract disputes, debt recovery and enforcement proceedings.

Foreign clients. Property purchases and sales, citizenship by investment, residence permits and entry bans, inheritance of property in Turkey, and representation in criminal proceedings — handled remotely where possible through a power of attorney.

Working with us from abroad

Most of our foreign clients never need to travel to Turkey. A power of attorney signed at a Turkish consulate allows us to act for you before land registries, migration authorities, tax and customs offices, courts and enforcement offices. We report to you in writing at every stage.
